
Troops of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai, have killed two suspected ISWAP fighters during a night ambush in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
The operation took place around 11:05 pm on May 13, 2026, in Bazamri village, a known crossing route for ISWAP members. According to security sources cited by Zagazola Makama, troops on ambush duty intercepted the suspects and engaged them in a gun battle, neutralizing both insurgents.

After the engagement, soldiers searched the area and recovered supplies believed to be meant for the terrorists. The items included 54 packs of 80-gram detergent, 32 packs of 500-gram salt, and one carton of spaghetti.
Military authorities confirmed that no soldier was injured or killed during the operation. Troops have since repositioned and continued surveillance in the area to prevent further terrorist movements. Officials said morale and operational efficiency remain high as offensive operations continue across the region.
