
The Katsina State Hisbah Board has arrested a woman in the Dutsinma area of the state for allegedly selling cannabis.
According to the Hisbah, the woman was arrested on Saturday, September 12, 2026, following intelligence gathered by its operatives.
The arrest was carried out by officers under the command of the Dutsinma Hisbah Commander, Malam Shafi’u Ibrahim.

During questioning, the suspect allegedly told officials that her husband’s younger brother supplied the cannabis, which she reportedly sold to raise money for food.
The Hisbah Board said investigations are ongoing and that appropriate action would be taken based on its findings.
