Bandits have reportedly demanded ₦30 million for the release of six Islamic clerics abducted in Zamfara State.
The clerics were allegedly kidnapped after attending a special prayer session held for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to conflict reporter D English Alhaji, the prayer session was organised by Abdulaziz Yari, the senator representing Zamfara West and Director-General of the APC campaign.

In a post on Facebook on Tuesday, September 22, Alhaji claimed that the six clerics were abducted after the prayer session and that their abductors are demanding ₦30 million for their release.
The report comes amid continued concerns over abductions and ransom demands in parts of Zamfara State.
