A yet-to-be-identified woman has died after falling from a motorcycle and being crushed by a truck along the Agbara-Lusada Expressway in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The accident reportedly occurred around 7pm on Saturday at Cashier Bus Stop along the highway.
An eyewitness, Kunle, said the motorcycle was attempting to overtake the truck when the woman, who was a passenger, fell onto the road and was run over by the truck.
The spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the incident.
Akinbiyi said the vehicles involved were a white Howo truck with registration number T-34611LA and two motorcycles whose registration numbers were not displayed.
He said preliminary findings indicated that one of the motorcycle riders allegedly attempted to overtake wrongly, causing the female passenger to fall under the truck.

According to him, five people were involved in the crash, comprising three males and two females. Two victims, a male and a female, sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital by a good Samaritan before TRACE officials arrived.
Akinbiyi added that the deceased woman’s remains had been taken away by her family, while the truck was moved to police custody for further investigation.
TRACE officials and PAPA OSCAR responders attended the scene and helped restore normal traffic flow along the expressway.
