
The Ogun State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a man identified as Kola over the alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old boy.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babasiyi, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
According to the police, the teenager reported the incident at the Adigbe Police Division on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, accompanied by his parents.
The victim allegedly told the police that Kola assaulted him three times in January 2026 and threatened him not to disclose what happened.
Following the report, the teenager was taken to a hospital in the Adigbe area for medical examination, while detectives began investigating the allegation.
The police said they only became aware of the alleged incidents after the September 8 report, adding that the suspect remains at large.

The Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, has directed detectives to intensify efforts to locate and arrest the suspect.
The command said the case was being handled with urgency and sensitivity, while reaffirming its commitment to protecting children and other vulnerable persons.
The police also appealed to anyone with useful information about the suspect’s whereabouts to contact the authorities.
