Six people have lost their lives while two others sustained injuries in a fatal road crash along the Kabba–Odo-Ape Road in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The accident occurred on Saturday and involved a truck and a commercial vehicle, according to the Kogi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Lawal Fagge.
Fagge said the crash was linked to speeding and urged motorists to avoid excessive speed, unnecessary overtaking and driving when fatigued.

The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital, Kabba, while the injured victims are receiving attention.
The FRSC has again urged motorists to prioritise safety and exercise caution on the roads to prevent avoidable crashes.
