Nollywood actor Kunle Afod has appealed to the Ogun State Government and emergency agencies to urgently assist victims of a road accident at Shapade, along the Ibadan–Shagamu Expressway.
Afod made the appeal in a video shared on his Instagram page on Friday, expressing concern over the alleged absence of ambulances and emergency responders at the scene.
According to the actor, he had spent about 20 minutes at the location without seeing any emergency team arrive to attend to the victims.
He said several people were lying helplessly following the crash, while repeated attempts to contact emergency workers had yet to produce any assistance.

Afod also expressed disappointment that other motorists were allegedly not stopping to help those injured in the accident.
He called on the Ogun State Government, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), rescue teams and other relevant agencies to intervene immediately, warning that lives could be at risk.
The actor further urged members of the public to help draw the attention of the authorities to the situation and ensure that the victims received urgent medical attention.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) confirmed a serious single-vehicle accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
In an official alert issued through its Saapade Unit Command on Friday, the agency said its operatives were monitoring the incident.
TRACE, however, stated that traffic movement along the expressway had not been affected by the crash, adding that further details would be provided as they became available.
The cause of the accident, the number of people involved and the condition of the victims had not been officially confirmed as of the time of filing this report.
There was also no official response from the relevant emergency agencies concerning Afod’s complaint about the delayed rescue operation.
