
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have reportedly eliminated four suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters and captured one alive during a coordinated military operation in the Timbuktu Triangle area of Borno State.
According to security sources, the operation was carried out by troops under Brigade Group I (25 Brigade Guards/19 Battalion) around the Multe axis on May 5, 2026.
The troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce gun battle at about 1:15 pm, leading to the death of four insurgents, while another suspect was arrested during the operation.
Security operatives also recovered several items from the scene, including three AK-47 rifles, 50 rounds of ammunition, five magazines, nine bicycles, and two motorcycles believed to have been used by the terrorists.
The military operation further extended to terrorist hideouts located in Dusu, Multe, and Hawan Burum as troops intensified clearance operations to strengthen security dominance within the region.

Sources confirmed that the arrested suspect and all recovered exhibits have been moved to the Headquarters of the 25 Brigade for further investigation and necessary military action.
The latest development comes amid ongoing efforts by Nigerian troops to dismantle terrorist networks and restore peace across the North-East region.
