
A tragic incident has shocked residents of Ideani community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State after the bodies of three children were discovered at the residence of a female native doctor.
The children, believed to be between the ages of six and 15, were found lifeless at the woman’s home in Umuoduba village. Their identities have not yet been confirmed, and the circumstances surrounding their deaths remain under investigation.
According to community sources, a fourth person was found alive at the premises and was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.
Residents said it is unclear whether the deceased children were relatives of the woman or individuals working at the property, where she reportedly keeps pigs and birds.

Following the discovery, the female native doctor was taken into custody by officers attached to the Ogidi Police Division. The bodies of the three children have since been deposited in a mortuary pending further investigation.
A video circulating on social media showed police officers at the residence as they inspected the scene and escorted the suspect away.
As of the time of filing this report, the Anambra State Police Command had yet to issue an official statement on the incident or disclose the identity of the suspect.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the deaths and the circumstances surrounding the case.
