Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested four individuals suspected of supplying logistics to terrorist groups operating in Nigeria’s North-East during coordinated operations in Yobe and Borno states.
The arrests were disclosed in a statement by the Acting Military Information Officer of the Joint Task Force (North-East), Captain Mohammed Goni, who noted that the operations were intelligence-driven and aimed at disrupting terrorist support networks
.
In Yobe State, troops of the 159 Battalion carried out an operation in Geidam following credible intelligence on suspicious movements linked to insurgent activities.
The operation led to the arrest of two suspects believed to have been providing narcotics and other essential materials to terrorists.
Items recovered from the suspects include suspected cannabis, mobile phones, power banks, knives, torchlights, cigarette rolls, pharmaceutical products, identification cards, bank cards, and cash.
In a separate operation in Monguno, Borno State, troops of Sector 3 Garrison, in collaboration with the 242 Reconnaissance Battalion, apprehended two additional suspects allegedly connected to ISWAP logistics networks.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were involved in transporting food and other supplies to insurgents operating in parts of Kukawa Local Government Area.
Recovered items from the operation include cartons and sachets of biscuits, milk, sugar, soap, garri, headlamps, lighters, mobile phones, herbal medicine, and cash, all believed to be intended for terrorist elements.
Meanwhile, troops on routine patrol along the Gezuwa axis in Konduga Local Government Area intercepted 20 individuals identified as relatives of suspected members of Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS).
The group, comprising men, women, and children, reportedly fled a terrorist enclave due to intensified military offensives in the area.
According to the military, the individuals have been handed over to intelligence personnel for proper screening and further assessment.
The Armed Forces confirmed that all arrested suspects and recovered items are currently undergoing further investigation, emphasizing that the operations are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist supply chains and weaken insurgent activities across the North-East region.
