Portugal secured a 2-1 win over Nigeria in an international friendly on Wednesday night, ending the Super Eagles’ unbeaten run in recent warm-up games.
The match started with Portugal taking early control. Pedro Neto found space inside the box and drilled a low finish past the Nigerian defense to give the European side the lead.
Nigeria responded before halftime through Akor Adams. The striker made a powerful run into the area and fired home to level the score at 1-1.

For Nigeria, the result breaks momentum after a 2-2 draw with Poland a week earlier. The Super Eagles were aiming for an upset against Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Portugal will now turn attention to their World Cup opener against DR Congo next Wednesday.
