Residents of Igbowu community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have raised alarm over a looming security threat after suspected bandits allegedly dropped handwritten messages warning of an impending attack.
The development has sparked widespread fear among residents, who are calling on security agencies and the Kwara State Government to urgently deploy military personnel and take proactive measures to prevent the attack.
According to residents, the suspected bandits left handwritten inscriptions within the community, notifying locals of their intention to strike.
One of the messages reportedly read: “Igbowu, get ready for us now, bandits are coming.”
The threat has heightened anxiety across the community, with many fearing that the warning signals an imminent invasion if security is not strengthened.
Residents have appealed to security operatives, local vigilante groups, and government authorities to act swiftly rather than waiting for an attack to occur.
Indigenes living outside the community have also contacted their families, urging them to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movement.
