
The Benue State Police Command has presented insurance cheques to the families of police officers who lost their lives in the course of duty.
The presentation took place at the Command Headquarters in Makurdi, where Commissioner of Police, CP Cletus C. Nwadiobu, conveyed the condolences of Inspector-General of Police, IGP Tunji Disu, to the bereaved families.

The Commissioner acknowledged that no financial support can replace the loss of a loved one, noting that the insurance benefits are intended to provide relief and assist the affected families, particularly with the welfare of the deceased officers’ children.
He urged the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely and assured them that the Command remains committed to supporting the families of officers who lose their lives while serving the nation.
