The Lagos State Police Command has opened an investigation into the deaths of two people allegedly killed by suspected cultists in separate attacks across the state.
Command spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi confirmed the probe on Wednesday, stating that the incidents were reported in Sangotedo, Ajah, and Ikotun.
The victims have been identified as Ola and another man known only as Chief Priest, according to earlier report by witnesses.
“No suspect has been arrested. Investigation is ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incidents,” Adebisi said.

The killings come amid renewed concerns over cult violence in parts of Lagos. On Saturday, residents of Governor’s Road staged a public demonstration against cultism, marching in branded T-shirts and carrying anti-cultism banners.
Cult-related clashes have remained a recurring security challenge in Lagos. In September 2025, more than 10 people were killed within 10 days in similar attacks across several communities in the state.
Police say efforts are underway to track down those responsible and prevent further violence.
