The Ogun State Police Command has recorded another breakthrough in its ongoing Operation Kosaye, with the arrest of 43 suspects during a targeted raid on a criminal hideout.
Operatives of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit carried out the operation following credible intelligence about illegal activities at a notorious location around Isheri-Olofin, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway opposite Kara Cattle Market.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the late-night operation, conducted at about 11:00 p.m. on July 7, led to the arrest of 28 males and 15 females suspected to be involved in cultism, drug abuse, prostitution, and other criminal activities.
During the raid, officers recovered substances suspected to be Indian hemp, ‘Loud’, and other hard drugs. Additional items seized include 10 mobile phones, four power banks, a rechargeable hand fan, and a cross-body bag containing two ATM cards and a National Identity Card.

The operation forms part of a sustained crackdown on criminal networks across the state. Recall that in June, a joint security exercise spanning Ogun, Lagos, and parts of Oyo State led to the arrest of no fewer than 84 suspects.
Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, commended the SWAT operatives for their professionalism and resilience, describing the latest operation as a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.
He reiterated the Command’s commitment to maintaining Ogun State as a hostile environment for criminals, warning that hideouts, drug joints, and other black spots will continue to be identified and dismantled.
The Police Command also urged residents to remain vigilant and support security agencies with timely and credible information to enhance public safety.
