Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit have killed two suspected kidnappers during a gun battle and recovered a firearm, cash, and other items linked to criminal activities.
The operation followed the successful rescue of a kidnapping victim who was abducted on June 11, 2026, in Ogbe Village, Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to police authorities, the victim’s abduction prompted an immediate response from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, which launched an intensive intelligence-led operation aimed at securing the victim’s release and tracking down those responsible.
After days of surveillance and coordinated investigations, security operatives mounted sustained pressure on the criminal gang, leading to the victim’s release unharmed on June 18.
