The widow of Pastor Emmanuel Hills, a Ghanaian missionary and clergy member based in Plateau State, has recounted the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding her husband’s abduction and subsequent killing by armed men.
Pastor Hills was reportedly abducted alongside another clergyman, Pastor Gabriel Dipak, on Friday, August 28, while travelling from Jos to Bokkos.
According to his widow, the armed men intercepted the vehicle in which they were travelling and ordered the occupants to surrender their valuables. The attackers reportedly collected phones, money and other belongings before identifying the two pastors and taking them into the bush.
The grieving widow said she pleaded with the attackers to release her husband and Pastor Dipak after they had taken the passengers’ valuables.
She alleged that one of the men warned her that she would never see her husband alive again as they dragged the two clergymen away.
Sadly, the threat became a reality. Pastor Hills’ body was reportedly discovered the following morning near the area where he and Pastor Dipak were taken.

Speaking in a video that circulated on social media, the widow said the incident occurred around 9 p.m. as they travelled from Jos to Bokkos.
She also alleged that the attackers were Fulani based on the language they spoke, adding that they were armed with different weapons.
Pastor Hills was the Senior Pastor of Wonderful Grace of God Ministry and served as treasurer of the Bokkos chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
Describing her late husband as a devoted servant of God and a respected member of the Christian community in Bokkos, the widow lamented that his death had left their five children without their father.
The incident has renewed concerns over insecurity and attacks along routes in Plateau State, with calls for stronger security measures to protect residents and travellers.
