
All pupils and teachers abducted in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, have regained their freedom, the Presidency has confirmed.
The announcement was made on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
According to Onanuga, the victims were successfully rescued through coordinated efforts by security agencies, bringing relief to families, the school community, and residents of the area.
While details surrounding the rescue operation were not fully disclosed, the presidential spokesperson commended the swift response and professionalism of the security operatives involved in the mission.
