A fire outbreak occurred on Tuesday evening at the residence of Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal in Gusau, the state capital.
The incident reportedly happened at about 7:20 p.m. at the governor’s residence located in the Government Reserved Area.
Emergency responders were immediately alerted, with firefighters arriving at the scene to prevent the blaze from spreading to other parts of the property.
The Executive Secretary of the Zamfara State Fire Service Board, Engr. Bello Sani Gusau, was said to have personally led the firefighting team during the operation.

Sources familiar with the incident said the fire was concentrated around a security room within the residence.Firefighters worked to contain the flames and protect other sections of the building from being affected.
The incident caused heightened activity around the residence as emergency personnel continued efforts to bring the situation under control.
There was no immediate report of casualties or the extent of damage caused by the fire as of the time of filing this report.
