Arsenal moved within one win of their first Premier League title in 22 years after edging relegated Burnley 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.
The victory took Mikel Arteta’s side to 82 points and opened a five-point gap over Manchester City, who play Bournemouth on Wednesday. Arsenal went into the match two points clear and knew a win would put pressure on the defending champions.
Arteta named an attacking lineup for the final home game of the season, and the Gunners dominated possession in the first half. The only goal came from Kai Havertz, whose header proved enough to secure all three points against the Clarets.
