Residents who spoke on the aftermath described the situation as overwhelming, noting that more than 20 houses were affected, leaving many families homeless and stranded.
A community member, Bulus Ritji, revealed that although no lives were lost, the storm destroyed food supplies, clothing, and other personal belongings, pushing many victims into severe hardship.
“The level of destruction is massive. Many people have lost everything and are now seeking shelter with neighbours and relatives,” he said.
Beyond residential damage, several farmlands were also wiped out, dealing a significant blow to the livelihoods of residents who depend on agriculture for survival.

He appealed to the Plateau State Government, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the Plateau State Emergency Management Agency (PLASEMA), alongside well-meaning Nigerians, to provide immediate relief materials and temporary shelter for the affected victims.
According to Luka, swift response efforts would help alleviate the suffering of displaced families and prevent further humanitarian crisis.
Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary of PLASEMA, Sunday Abdu, stated that the agency had not yet received an official report of the incident but assured that necessary steps would be taken to verify and respond accordingly.
