Troops of Sector 5 of the Joint Task Force South-East Operation UDO KA have neutralised three suspected operatives of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), during a security operation in Anambra State.
The operation, carried out in collaboration with other security agencies, followed intelligence reports on the activities of armed individuals allegedly disguising themselves in military camouflage and police uniforms to carry out attacks and other criminal acts in the region.
According to military authorities, the suspects were tracked along the Ogboji–Ajali axis in Orumba South Local Government Area after security operatives received credible information about their movement. The suspects were reportedly travelling in a white Toyota Sienna vehicle when they were intercepted by troops.
