A married woman at the centre of a controversial NYSC orientation camp incident has broken her silence, alleging that she was falsely accused of adultery after a fellows 7u7corps member allegedly used AI-generated images and videos to implicate her.
According to her account, the situation reportedly began after she rejected the advances of another corps member, who she claimed later became determined to get back at her.
She alleged that the corps member subsequently produced fake photos and videos that appeared to show her involved in an inappropriate relationship. The materials were reportedly presented as evidence against her, leading to serious allegations and her eventual expulsion from the NYSC orientation camp.
The development reportedly left the woman devastated, as she maintained that the allegations were completely false.
Her husband, however, reportedly refused to accept the accusations and took the matter to the office of the NYSC Director-General, requesting that the case be reviewed.
The matter was subsequently reopened, with the alleged photos and videos subjected to forensic examination.
According to the woman’s account, the examination reportedly established that the materials had been manipulated or generated using artificial intelligence.

Following the investigation, NYSC reportedly apologised to the woman and allowed her to return to camp and complete her national service.
Although the investigation reportedly cleared her of the allegations, she expressed concern about the punishment given to the corps member accused of fabricating the evidence.
According to the account, the individual was reportedly given a one-month extension of service as disciplinary action.
The incident has renewed concerns about the potential misuse of artificial intelligence to create convincing but false images and videos, particularly when such materials are used to make serious allegations against other people.
The woman’s account highlights the importance of verifying digital evidence before taking disciplinary action, especially in cases where manipulated or AI-generated content can have serious consequences for someone’s reputation and personal life.
