
Troops of Sector 7 of the Nigerian Army have intercepted suspected arms traffickers and recovered seven illegal firearms during a stop-and-search operation at the Samaru checkpoint in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The operation, carried out on Monday, followed credible intelligence indicating that illegal weapons were being transported from Jos, Plateau State, to Niger State for delivery to suspected bandits.

Security personnel tracked and intercepted an ash-coloured Mercedes-Benz vehicle believed lpppp pp be conveying the firearms. The suspects were arrested, while the seven illegal weapons were recovered.
The suspects are expected to be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution as security agencies continue efforts to curb the illegal movement of arms across the country.
