Argentina have reportedly submitted a special request to FIFA ahead of their highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-final against England.
According to reports, the Argentine Football Association has asked FIFA to allow the team to wear their traditional blue-and-white striped home jersey for the last-four clash, despite England being designated as the home side for the fixture.

Under FIFA’s kit regulations, the team listed as the home side usually has the first choice of playing strip. However, Argentina are hoping to retain their iconic home colours, which they have worn throughout the tournament.
The reigning world champions booked their place in the semi-finals after defeating Switzerland 3-1 in the quarter-finals, while England secured a 2-1 victory over Norway to reach the last four.
FIFA is expected to decide on the request before the match, with both teams awaiting confirmation of the kits they will wear.
The World Cup semi-final between Argentina and England is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, with a place in the final at stake.
