France captain Kylian Mbappe has called on his teammates to remain fully focused as they prepare for Tuesday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-final clash against Spain.
The forward stressed that France cannot afford to become complacent despite reaching the last four of the tournament, insisting the team must keep pushing until they lift the World Cup trophy.

Mbappe said Les Bleus still have plenty to prove if they want to be regarded as one of football’s truly dominant national teams.
“We can only relax when we win the World Cup,” he said. “Until then, we have to stay focused because we still have a lot to prove if we want to be recognised as an invincible team.”
France were runners-up at the 2022 World Cup after losing a dramatic final to Argentina, and Mbappe believes that disappointment should serve as motivation as Didier Deschamps’ side aims to go one step further this time.
The French will face Spain in a highly anticipated semi-final, with a place in the World Cup final at stake.
