A suspected terrorist has surrendered to Nigerian troops in Borno State through the Chadian Defence Forces (CDF), in what authorities described as part of ongoing cross-border security cooperation.
The suspect, who claimed to be an indigene of Monguno Local Government Area of Borno, was handed over to troops of the 152 Task Force Battalion in Banki at about 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
According to a security report shared by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the suspect was handed over by the CM Intelligence Service of the Bargaram Division of the Chadian Defence Forces.

He is currently in the custody of Nigerian troops for profiling and interrogation, while further action will be taken in line with established procedures.
