
Troops of the 25 Brigade, working with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested a man suspected to be a foreign national along the Azir–Damboa road in Borno State.
The arrest reportedly took place at about 5:55 p.m. on September 5 following information from local residents about the movement of a suspected foreigner along the route.
According to counter-terrorism expert Zagazola Makama, who disclosed the development on Tuesday, the suspect identified himself during preliminary questioning as a citizen of Cameroon.

The suspect reportedly told the troops that he entered Nigeria through Taraba State and was travelling towards Niger State in search of artisanal work but lost his way.
He remains in military custody as investigations continue to establish his identity, travel history and the circumstances surrounding his presence in the area.
Authorities are expected to take further action based on the outcome of the investigation.
