The Osun State Police Command has arrested three men suspected of terrorising residents and students around Oke-Baale and surrounding areas of Osogbo, the state capital.
The suspects were identified as 26-year-old Abass Quadri, 24-year-old Olanrewaju Joshua and 25-year-old Yusuf Taiwo.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, their arrest followed complaints from students of Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Oke-Baale, over repeated criminal attacks along their routes.
Ojelabi said police operatives conducted patrols and raided a suspected criminal hideout on September 9, 2026, leading to the arrest of the three suspects.

The police alleged that the suspects would stop students by force, threaten them, seize their mobile phones and compel them to transfer money.
The command said the suspects have been charged to court, while efforts are ongoing to arrest other individuals allegedly connected to the criminal activities.
The police urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities or threats to the nearest police station.
