The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a suspected vehicle theft kingpin and recovered a stolen Toyota Camry during a stop-and-search operation along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Mosuru Issa of Agege, Lagos State, was arrested by operatives of the Mowe Division on Friday, September 11, 2026.
According to the police, officers flagged down the wine-coloured Toyota Camry around 7:30am along the Mowe axis for a routine security check. However, the three occupants allegedly abandoned the vehicle and fled in different directions after sighting the police.
The officers pursued the suspects and succeeded in arresting Issa, while the vehicle was recovered.
