The husband of Anulika Nwokike, the woman arrested in Anambra State over alleged exploitation of her children in explicit online content, has denied having any knowledge of her alleged activities.
Ikechukwu Onyeanyusi, speaking in a video circulating online, said he was shocked after learning about the allegations against his wife.
According to him, he usually leaves home every morning for his business and was unaware of what was allegedly happening in his absence.
He said he first learnt about the videos after a friend showed them to him while he was at the market.
Onyeanyusi said he immediately returned home and confronted his wife, but she reportedly told him that the videos were generated using artificial intelligence.
He explained that the situation later escalated when police arrived and arrested the people involved, including him.
He said it was at the police station, while his wife was being questioned, that he was informed that she had allegedly confessed to the offence.
The husband described the development as devastating, saying he was deeply saddened by the allegations involving his children.
He appealed to members of the public and relevant authorities to support the affected children as they undergo the necessary care and recovery process.
The case has generated widespread outrage, with many Nigerians condemning the alleged abuse.
