Former Anambra State Governor and 20823 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Igwe Willy Ezugwu, the Eze Ka Eze I of Ideke Land and Eze Ogbozalla III of Opi Kingdom, in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Obi made the visit on Sunday as part of his ongoing engagements with traditional rulers, community leaders and residents across the country.
During the visit, Obi expressed appreciation to the monarch for receiving him and for offering prayers, royal blessings and fatherly counsel.
The former governor described Igwe Ezugwu as a patriotic Nigerian who is committed to the progress and development of the country.
The visit was part of Obi’s wider engagements in the region, during which he interacted with residents and stakeholders on issues affecting communities and the country at large.
Obi said Nigerians continue to face serious challenges, including insecurity, unemployment, rising living costs, inadequate healthcare and gaps in the education sector.

According to him, the concerns raised by citizens demonstrate the urgent need for leadership focused on improving the welfare and living conditions of Nigerians.
He also urged Nigerians to remain actively involved in the democratic process ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing the importance of protecting their votes from the polling unit through the final declaration of results.
The visit to Igwe Ezugwu further underscored Obi’s continued engagement with traditional institutions and grassroots communities as preparations for the 2027 elections gradually intensify.
