
Residents of Ogbozalla community in Opi, Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, have been thrown into fear following a reported attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
According to the reports from Asenexpress.com correspondent the attackers invaded the area opening fire on residents.
During this ugly period two people were reportedly shot. One died at the scene, while the other sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. A video circulating online is said to show the injured victim receiving assistance.
The assailants also allegedly abducted several residents and are reportedly demanding ransom for their release. However, some of the abductees were said to have escaped while being taken away by the kidnappers.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from the Enugu State Police Command or other relevant authorities regarding the attack or the reported casualties.
Residents have called on security agencies to intensify efforts to secure the community, rescue those still in captivity, and bring those responsible to justice.
