
Passengers escaped unharmed after a Peace Mass Transit (PMT) bus caught fire following a reported overheating incident along the Enugu Road near Thinkers Corner in Enugu State.
According to reports, the 18-seater commercial bus was travelling with passengers on board when it suddenly developed excessive heat, causing thick smoke to emerge from the vehicle. The passengers immediately alerted the driver, who promptly pulled over to the roadside.
The driver quickly instructed everyone to leave the bus, allowing all passengers to safely evacuate with their personal belongings before the situation escalated.

Shortly after the evacuation, the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The fire spread rapidly and completely destroyed the bus despite efforts to contain it.
No casualties or injuries were recorded in the incident, as all occupants escaped safely before the fire consumed the vehicle.
The exact cause of the overheating has not been officially confirmed, while authorities are expected to investigate the incident to determine what led to the fire.
