Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 75-year-old man, identified as Okebe Samuel, for alleged involvement in the sale of illicit drugs in Ebonyi State.
The suspect was apprehended in Okposi community, where NDLEA officials reportedly discovered approximately 300 grams of skunk packaged in small retail sachets, allegedly intended for distribution within the area.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the elderly suspect had been under surveillance prior to his arrest.
He was accused of supplying the illegal substance primarily to young people in the community.
The agency noted that the operation highlights its commitment to enforcing drug laws without bias, emphasizing that age does not exempt anyone from accountability.
