A 34-year-old man, identified as Rabiu Mukthar, has allegedly shot dead a wedding guest and injured three others during a wedding ceremony in Tudun Yola Quarters, Kano State, following a disagreement over loud music.
The incident reportedly occurred when Mukthar, who was said to be disturbed by the music from the wedding ceremony, allegedly came out of his residence armed with a pump-action gun and opened fire on people attending the event.
According to the Kano State Police Command, the suspect allegedly told investigators that the loud music had disturbed his sleep. He also reportedly complained that the organisers did not inform or consult him before holding the ceremony.

The shooting reportedly threw the wedding venue into panic as guests fled for safety.
One person was killed in the incident, while three others sustained gunshot injuries and were taken for medical treatment.
The police said Mukthar and another suspect were arrested following the incident, while the firearm used in the attack was recovered.
The suspects are currently being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as investigations continue.
Police spokesman, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the incident and assured that further investigations would determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
