Following the operation, the damaged vehicles were removed from the roadway to restore normal traffic flow.
Commending the rescue team, the General Manager of LASTMA, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, praised the officers for their professionalism and prompt response. He noted that the successful rescue reflected the agency’s commitment to protecting lives and improving road safety across Lagos State.
Bakare-Oki further urged motorists, especially operators of commercial and articulated vehicles, to drive responsibly, obey traffic regulations, and ensure their vehicles are roadworthy before embarking on journeys.
He emphasized that road safety remains a shared responsibility and called on all road users to remain vigilant and disciplined while using the state’s roads.
