
Nigeria’s Falconets have been placed in Pot 2 for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup draw, set to take place at the EC1 Cultural Centre on Friday.
The team is one of four African representatives at the biennial tournament, alongside Ghana, Tanzania, and Benin. Moses Aduku’s side secured qualification for Poland 2026 after edging Malawi’s Young Scorchers 3-2 on aggregate in the final qualifying round.

Pot 2 also features strong contenders including the United States, Colombia, Mexico, Canada, and New Zealand, setting up the possibility of tough group stage matchups for the Falconets.
This will be Nigeria’s 15th appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, underlining the country’s consistent presence on the global stage. The tournament is scheduled to run from September 5 to September 27, 2026, in Poland.
