Chelsea manager, Liam Rosenior, had dismissed claims of a rift between him and his players following the club’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton in Tuesday’s Premier League clash.
The Blues suffered a heavy loss at the Amex Stadium, with goals from Danny Welbeck, Jack Hinshelwood, and Ferdi Kadioglu securing a comfortable victory for Brighton. The result leaves Chelsea in seventh place on the league table, intensifying scrutiny over their recent performances.
Speaking after the match, Rosenior insisted there is no breakdown in his relationship with the squad, despite how the performance may have appeared.

“Judging from the performance on the field, it may seem that way, but I don’t believe there is any real disconnection between the players and myself,” he said.
However, the Chelsea boss admitted that the team’s lack of fighting spirit and belief contributed to the perception of internal issues.
“It is the players’ lack of fighting spirit and belief that has created that impression, which I cannot refute,” Rosenior added.
Chelsea will now shift focus to their FA Cup semi-final clash against Leeds United this weekend as they aim to bounce back.
