
Chelsea midfielder Moisés Caicedo has set his sights on becoming a club legend after committing his long-term future to the Premier League side with a new contract extension.
The Ecuadorian international, who joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in August 2023, has established himself as a key figure in the squad, making over 100 appearances and playing a significant role in the club’s recent successes.
Caicedo has been instrumental in Chelsea’s recent trophy wins, including their UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup triumphs.
His consistent performances during the 2024/25 season also earned him both the club’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season awards.
Speaking after signing the new deal, the midfielder expressed his delight and reaffirmed his commitment to the club’s long-term project.
“I am so happy to have extended my contract at Chelsea. I believe in this team, and I know we’re going in the right direction,” he said.

He emphasized that his ambition goes beyond personal recognition, stating his desire to build a lasting legacy at Stamford Bridge.
“We have enjoyed some great moments together already, and my dream is to become a Chelsea legend. I will work as hard as possible to make that happen,” Caicedo added.
Since arriving in London, the midfielder has developed into one of the team’s leaders and has even worn the captain’s armband on several occasions, including matches against top opponents such as Manchester City.
He has also contributed eight goals so far in his Chelsea career, with one of his strikes voted the club’s Goal of the Season in 2024.
Caicedo further stressed his determination to keep improving and help the club win more trophies in the coming years.
“There is still a lot more to achieve, and I’m very hungry to keep improving every day. I want to win more trophies with Chelsea and give everything for this club and for the fans,” he said.
Chelsea welcomed the extension, expressing confidence that Caicedo will remain a central figure in their long-term ambitions.
