Security operatives have arrested an elderly man for allegedly supplying ammunition to armed bandits operating in Zamfara State.
The suspect was apprehended along the Anka–Bagega Road in Anka Local Government Area during a routine security patrol following credible intelligence.
According to security sources, the man was intercepted while attempting to enter Bagega town with a quantity of ammunition believed to be destined for bandits hiding in the Bagega Forest.
The arrest is being regarded as a significant breakthrough in ongoing efforts to dismantle the logistical networks sustaining criminal groups in the region.
