The Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Patrick Daaor, has ordered an investigation into a confrontation involving officers of the Edo State Traffic Management Agency (EDSTMA) and the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
The incident came to public attention after a video showing the clash surfaced online on Thursday. In the footage, an IRT officer was seen firing his rifle into the air during the confrontation.
The police command said the commissioner had met with representatives of both sides and directed a discreet investigation to determine what led to the incident.
