Terrorists operating in Zamfara State have reportedly issued residents of a community in Talata Mafara Local Government Area a seven-day ultimatum to raise ₦50 million and 100 livestock or face another attack.
According to residents, the terrorists stormed an open market in the area and delivered the threat, demanding 50 cattle and 50 sheep alongside the money.
The development has heightened fear among residents, who said the community has suffered repeated attacks, farmland seizures and livestock rustling.

The latest threat comes weeks after terrorists reportedly killed 22 farmers during an attack on communities in Sauna Ward, Talata Mafara LGA, in July.
Residents have appealed to the Zamfara State Government and security agencies to urgently intervene before the seven-day deadline expires, warning that failure to act could result in another attack.
The Zamfara State Police Command was contacted for a response, but its spokesperson, Yezid Abubakar, had not responded to calls and messages as of the time of the report.
