
Nigerian basketball star Murjanatu Musa has completed a remarkable season in France after helping Basket Landes secure both the French League and French Cup titles.
The D’Tigress forward played an important role as Basket Landes defeated Bourges Basket 53-50 in the decisive Game Three of the Ligue Féminine de Basketball finals on Sunday to retain their league crown.
The victory handed Basket Landes their second consecutive league title and third overall championship, adding to the French Cup trophy they had already won earlier in the campaign.
Musa contributed eight points, nine rebounds, and two assists in the tense final as Basket Landes staged a strong comeback after trailing at the end of the third quarter.
Both sides were evenly matched throughout the contest, ending the opening quarter 15-15 and entering halftime tied at 27-27. Bourges held a narrow 40-36 advantage heading into the final quarter before Basket Landes produced a late surge to snatch victory.

Leïla Lacan led Basket Landes with 19 points and was named Finals MVP, while Musa once again delivered a solid all-round performance in the championship-deciding clash.
The Nigerian international maintained consistent form throughout the finals series, recording eight points and nine rebounds in Game Two after posting eight points, three rebounds, and one assist in the opening game.
Since joining Basket Landes at the start of the season, Musa has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign, establishing herself as one of the team’s key players during their successful defence of the league title and cup-winning run.
