
Arsenal have been crowned Premier League champions for the 2025/26 season, ending a 22-year wait for the English top-flight title.
The Gunners secured the crown on Tuesday night after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth, a result that confirmed Arsenal as champions and ended Liverpool’s reign at the summit of English football.
Mikel Arteta’s side now hold an unassailable five-point lead over City heading into the final round of fixtures on Sunday.
Arsenal will officially lift the Premier League trophy after their final-day London derby against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The North London club have been the standout side throughout the campaign, combining attacking brilliance with defensive solidity. Although Arsenal experienced a brief dip in form during the season, Manchester City’s late resurgence was not enough to derail Arteta’s title charge.
The triumph marks Arteta’s first Premier League title as a manager and Arsenal’s first league championship since the legendary “Invincibles” side of 2003/04, who famously completed the season unbeaten.

This current Arsenal team has also etched its name into the record books. The Gunners scored 19 goals from corner kicks this season, surpassing the previous league record of 16, while their 28 league victories exceed the Invincibles’ total of 26 wins.
The title is the second major trophy of Arteta’s managerial reign and his fourth overall with the club, having previously guided Arsenal to FA Cup success in 2020 and two Community Shield triumphs.
Arsenal could yet cap off a remarkable season by winning their first-ever UEFA Champions League title when they face Paris Saint-Germain in the final at the Puskás Arena in Budapest on Saturday, May 30.
