
Nigeria’s entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of veteran Nollywood actor and theatre scholar, Professor Adekola Akangbe Gabriel Oyewo, popularly known as Professor Kola Oyewo.
The renowned actor reportedly passed away at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy that spans decades in theatre, film, and academia.
The news of his death was announced by his son, Adetoyese Oyewo, in a heartfelt message shared on social media. In the tribute, he described his late father as a man of wisdom, kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to humanity.
According to him, although the family is deeply saddened by the loss, they remain grateful for the impactful life Professor Oyewo lived and the countless people he inspired throughout his career.
