Veteran Nigerian actor Don Richard has dismissed viral social media reports claiming that he had passed away, describing the information as false and misleading.
The reports, which circulated online on Thursday, April 23, 2026, alleged that the actor died after a prolonged battle with kidney failure, sparking concern among fans and colleagues.
However, in a post shared on his Instagram page on Friday, the actor confirmed that he is alive and in good health, reassuring his supporters not to believe the rumours.

“There’s nothing wrong with me. I appreciate my fans for the love and concern. I’m alive, hale and hearty. I dey alive ooo. The bloggers should continue their bad posting, God will judge them, amen,” he wrote.
The actor, who has previously spoken publicly about his health struggles, had in July 2025 solicited financial assistance after reportedly selling his house and cars to manage treatment for kidney disease.
He urged the public to disregard false reports and rely on verified information regarding his health status.
