Armed bandits have launched another attack on communities in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, forcing residents to flee and rustling several livestock amid growing insecurity in the region.
The attack reportedly occurred on Sunday in rural settlements on the western outskirts of Musawa town. According to security sources and local reports, the gunmen stormed multiple villages, firing sporadically as frightened residents abandoned their homes.
Women and children were said to be among those displaced, with many taking refuge in Musawa town without adequate shelter, food, or relief materials despite heavy rainfall in the area.
A northern security analyst, Bakatsine, disclosed that the attackers operated with little resistance and escaped through nearby forest routes after carting away large numbers of cattle.
