
Suspected armed bandits have abducted a Special Constabulary officer serving with the Faskari Division of the Katsina State Police Command.
The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday evening around 7 p.m. along the Kankara–Sheme road. The officer, identified as Danjuma Garba, was kidnapped at Kwakware village by heavily armed men.
Security sources revealed that the attack was allegedly carried out by a gang led by a notorious bandit kingpin known as Idi, also called Abasu Aiki.

Following the abduction, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Faskari swiftly mobilised a joint security team to the scene.
Authorities have since launched a coordinated cordon-and-search operation aimed at rescuing the victim and apprehending those responsible.
