
Six Nigerian soldiers sustained injuries following a road traffic accident involving a military vehicle in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The incident occurred on Saturday as troops attached to the Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Isa were returning from an administrative patrol. According to security sources, the accident involved a military gun truck that reportedly suffered only minor damage.
The six injured personnel were immediately evacuated to Goronyo General Hospital, where they received emergency medical care and were stabilised before being transferred to the 8 Division Military Hospital for further treatment.

Reports indicate that all the injured soldiers are in stable condition and continue to receive medical attention.
Security sources said authorities have begun assessing the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine what led to the incident.
The accident comes amid ongoing military operations across Sokoto State, where troops continue to carry out patrols and other security missions aimed at tackling armed banditry and other criminal activities in the region.
